I left the cup by the window and let the room become quiet on its own. Some days do not need a lesson, or an answer folded neatly at the end. They only need somewhere to remain, exactly as they were.
我把杯子留在窗边，让房间自己慢慢安静下来。有些日子不需要成为启示，也不需要在结尾处放进一个整齐的答案。它们只需要一个地方，以原来的样子被留下。

I did not wake up as someone new. I only noticed that a choice which used to feel impossible had begun to feel ordinary.
Perhaps this is how some directions change: not with a declaration, but with a little less resistance.
